Porter's 3rd Birthday!!

Well, I'm a little late at getting this posted. I've been meaning to get it on here for about a week now. Porter's birthday was last Monday, the 7th. He is finally 3! No longer do I have 3 kids under the age of three! He loved his birthday. He had 3 different parties and got spoiled at every one. Mom and Dad got him a bike for his birthday but when we woke up, it looked like this outside.....
So much for riding a bike outside! We went up to Grandpa Olson's shop and Porter got to ride his bike there. It took him a little while to figure out how to pedal but once he got that down, he was having so much fun riding that little bike.

Here's a picture of the whole family. In the background, you can see the bunk beds that Mike has been building the boys for Christmas.

Porter then got to pick where to go eat dinner. He wanted to go to McDonald's and play. So, he got a Happy Meal and then played. Dad was having fun playing with the boys too!

And then, of course since it was his birthday we had to get hot fudge sundaes!!!

Party #2 Porter got a helicopter from Grandma and Grandpa Olson. He loved that thing. Didn't put it down for days.

Party #3 was with the Custer's. Porter got to celebrate his birthday with his cousin Adam. He turned 1. Here are some pictures of some of the things he got.

Here is a picture of the cake. Mom got creative and made a lego cake.

Sand Dunes

We went to the sand dunes last weekend. We loaded the 4 wheelers up and went down. We are wishing now that we didn't take the 4 wheelers. We didn't know until we got down there that the 4 wheelers weren't registered so we got a ticket for that. We had to stop and buy flags for them since ours are at the cabin. Then on the way home, the seat flew off of one of them. So, it ended up being kind of an expensive trip to take the wheelers. We had fun though. I only got a few pictures of us playing in the sand because my camera was dying the whole time we were there. The most eventful part of the trip was my mom getting lost. Her and my sis in law went for a ride and somehow my mom got lost. Some people ended up bringing her back right as we were about to call search and rescue. All and all it was a fun trip though. Here are some pictures of us playing in the sand. We were seriously covered from head to toe in sand after this.

Halloween 2009

Halloween was busy but a lot of fun this year. We made sugar cookies, then my sister had a Halloween party and then we went trunk or treating. My boys had so much fun. This year Porter was a tiger, Ryker was a dragon and Kyler was a giraffe.

A not so happy giraffe

All my little animals!!

Porter and Ryker just wanting to hurry and go trick or treating. They didn't want anymore pictures.

It was funny because the next day Porter said, "Mommy, I want to trick or treat, thank you!" He just made me laugh! Such a cute kid!

Carving Pumpkins

The night before Halloween we decided to carve pumpkins with the boys. We should've started way earlier because it took us way longer than we thought. I always forget how long it takes to carve pumpkins. The boys loved it though. They had so much fun.

Big Snake

Right after I had Kyler, my parents were watching Porter and Ryker. Porter caught a snake when he was at their house. It ended up getting away but he thought it was the coolest thing ever. He still tells me now that he caught a snake. So, a couple weeks ago a guy that Mike works with bought a big snake. We decided to take Porter and Ryker to go see it. Porter absolutely loved the thing. Ryker thought is was pretty cool too but lost interest fast. Porter would have played with the thing all day if we would have let him. I'm just hoping that one day my boys don't want a snake like this. I didn't really like the thing that much!

Oh What a Mess!!!!

So, I have been working a ton the past couple of weeks. There's been so much to do with work. I feel bad because I have kind of ignored my kids while I work. They entertained themselves though. This is what your house looks like when you just let you kids entertain themselves!

Room #1

I don't know if you can tell from the pictures but there is baby powder all over this room!!! That was fun to clean up.

Room #2

They are just so stinking cute to get mad at though. I just had to laugh. That's what I get for ignoring them!

The Carnival

Yes, I am finally updating my blog. I have so many pictures of things we have done this summer. Now I just need to get them off my camera and update my blog some more!

The carnival was here last week so we took the boys one night and had them go on some rides. They loved it!!! They didn't want to leave. It was really cute!

Ryker wasn't tall enough to go on this ride so Porter had to go by himself. He was really sad that Ryker couldn't go with him.

Mike got to go on the carousel with the boys. He was so excited! Trying to get both the boys to look at the camera didn't work.

Exciting Times

Look who is potty trained! Horray!!! I am totally loving only having one kid in diapers! We bought Porter a little toilet a few months ago and have been kind of working with him. About 3 weeks ago I went and bought some underwear and just started putting him in them. He did great. We had a few accidents but we haven't had any for a couple weeks now and I'm loving it!!! I was dreading potty training him because I heard stories about how hard it is to potty train boys. I guess I just lucked out. Good job Porter!!!

Also, look who's finally walking!!! Porter started walking right around his first birthday. Ryker would stand but didn't really take any steps. We've been waiting for him to just take off and he finally did this week. It's so fun when they start walking!

Porter loves that Ryker is walking now too. He loves to take his hands and walk him around the house. It is so cute!!

Look who turned 1!

I am late at getting these pictures posted but here they finally are. Yes, my baby, Ryker turned 1! I still can't believe it! He is getting so big so fast! We sure love this cute little guy though. I only have a few pictures because my camera died. Grandma and Grandpa have all the good ones on their camera. We'll have to get those.

I really wanted to make Ryker a turtle cake. I don't know why but that was just the cake I wanted him to have. So, I got creative and made a turtle cake out of cupcakes. It was so easy and I thought it turned out cute.
